Winterberry Farm || Killingworth, Ct
Jen and Steve had their session at Winterberry Farm in Killingworth, Ct! And I’m so happy we had a great winter day too! Not cold, and the sun popped out to give us some great glowing shots!! If you’ve never been, its HUGE and so beautiful!! Plus the owners are incredibly kind! Jen had called them to make sure it was ok to use their farm since it was after the holidays, and they were more than ok with it!! Which was awesome, because I have a lot of favorite spots at this farm!!
I know Jen from high school, and its been such a fun reunion and awesome to be able to capture these moments for her! And it was great to get to know Steve more and to get to know them as a couple! They are both so easy going and laid back! And they absolutely KILLED this session!! Jen had told me prior to starting that she was nervous, which is so normal!! Thats usually one of the most common things I hear before starting! I assured them, after 10 minutes in, those nerves and the awkwardness of getting your pictures taken will go away! And they did! I could tell they both started to get more comfortable with it all and just had fun with it!
Jen had texted me afterwards saying the engagement session made her even more excited for their wedding!! Which is exactly what I love to hear! I too can’t wait for their day!! Their getting married at the beautiful Saybrook Point Inn in May of this year! My first time shooting there was for Nick and Jessica’s wedding and everything about that place is just amazing! The decor and staff are fantastic!! Plus the views of the ocean right there are so beautiful! I can’t wait to be back!
